Melanie Levesque

Chair

Melanie is a 30-year Brookline Resident, Small Business owner and volunteer in the community. She has served as a NH State Senator, State Represenative, Coop Schoolboard member, Brookline Trustee and NH Civics Board member. Melanie is deeply committed to supporting her community locally and in Concord. Her hobbies are volunteering, gardening, and singing.

Carol Schreck

Vice-Chair

Carol is a business consultant to nonprofits, industry, and local/regional governments, specializing in operational efficiencies, revenue strategies, collaborations & creative partnering. She is dedicated to good governance and fights for policies supporting strong, healthy, resilient communities and a strong economy with opportunities for all. She’s a foodie, writes haiku, loves dogs, and thinks TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD is the great American novel.

Elissa Rasmussen

Secretary

Elissa is a small business owner, wife and mother of 2. All of these things are what inspired her to join the Brookline Democrats and work for our shared values. Her biggest concern is her children’s futures and how past and current politics are effecting them. She has been a resident of Brookline for approx. 9 years and both of her children have been in the Hollis-Brookline Coop since kindergarten. Elissa ran for an open position as a Trustee of the Trust Funds in the last election as well and won.

Kate Elkins

Treasurer

Kate Elkins is excited to be on the executive team for the Brookline Democrats. She lives in Brookline with her husband, three kids, and multiple farm animals! She works in the public health field and is passionate about racial and health equity.

Robert Rushton

At Large Delegate

Robert is a 20+ year resident of Brookline with a passion for protecting civil liberties, especially those related to voting rights, privacy, and information security. He is a former Brookline Democrats co/chair and is now a delegate at large.

Cordelia Scales

At Large Delegate & College Rep

Cordelia is a rising senior at The George Washington University studying biomedical engineering. A 21 year resident of Brookline, she is excited to focus on abortion rights, LGBTQ+ rights, and youth issues. She has served in various roles in College Democrats and is looking forward to serving in this new role.

Kate Peters

High School Rep

Kate is a rising first year at Mount Holyoke College, double majoring in International Relations and Critical Social Thought. She's a 17 year resident of Brookline and has served on the executive board for New Hampshire High School Democrats this past year. She's passionate about racial equity and hopes to help make a difference in the world.
